Official opening of a renovated chemical laboratory in Sofia University funded by Total

On 18th September 2019, in Sofia University was held the official opening of the renovated chemical laboratory at the Geology and Geography Faculty. The laboratory was refurbished and equipped with modern appliances for scientific research and analysis thanks to the financial support of Total and its partners. At the ceremony the Vice-Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof., PhD Yurii Kuchev gave a certificate to the General manager of  Total E&P Bulgaria B.V. for the donation. The renovation included the installation of a modern air conditioning system and the supply of laboratory fume hoods, acid resistant fans, safe cabinets, laboratory island, muffle furnace and a drying oven.

Prof. Philip Machev, Dean of the Faculty of Geology and Geography, expressed his satisfaction with the long-standing cooperation with Total and his confidence that the training of students through practical exercises in this laboratory will be more effective.
